You can get in here a new perspective and technical knowledge based on the traditional weaving techniques reinvented in a contemporary way. In the studio we will use a four and six heald loom, you can learn about color blending, fabric structure and molding, also you will get an insight how to design and make this process happen. We can experience the unlimited toolkit of weaving techniques through costume designed, special heald loaded suggestions. We always prepare a thematic workshop, it’s usually about a technical solution or a fabric structure. Usually on the table loom we create applied textiles such as spatial textiles, divisions, table textiles, table cloths, fabrics of bags, scarfs.
At the secessionist weaving school of Gödöllő art colony they created textiles for everyday use. Körösfői-Kriesch Aladár and his partners believed that art needs to be around us in every area in our life. They paid attention specifically to nature and material culture, creating handcrafted objects for everyday life. We would like to connect this concept with our contemporary weaving studio, to familiarize and save the value of craft through contemporary themes and aesthetics.
