The founder of the workshop, Fl\u00f3ra Remsey was a Ferenczy <\/span><\/span><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">No\u00e9mi-awarded tapestry artist who was teaching at the workshop until the end of her life, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">2014.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 14.4pt 0cm 0cm .55pt;\"><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">Once Fl\u00f3ra Remsey said :\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 1.0pt; margin: 13.85pt -.2pt 0cm .25pt;\"><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">\u2018There is the house on the street of the old secessionist art colony\u2019s where the newly formed\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"background: white;\">G\u00f6d\u00f6ll\u0151 Applied Art House could move in which was established by 1998 autumn. To the <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">street where S\u00e1ndor Nagy, Alad\u00e1r K\u00f6r\u00f6sf\u0151i-Kriesch, Jen\u0151 Remsey used to live, where Alad\u00e1r <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">K\u00f6r\u00f6sf\u0151i-Kriesch established a weaving school in 1904. This school created \u2018G\u00f6d\u00f6ll\u0151 carpet\u2019 <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">which brought european reputation to the colonization. Later on the weaving school became <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">the workshop for the University of Applied Art which used to be called College of Applied Art back <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">in the days. From this heritage the workshop and its environment could develop. The creative <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">work, the program of the exhibitions and the art education are going together at this place. <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">This unique milieu defines all the activities we have in here. All of our old furniture, the <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">luxuriant green vegetation, the rare variant ceramics, the paintings on the wall, also our hand <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">made, long process carpets, we have in here gives you that calm, peaceful atmosphere. We <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">have a personalized educational system, we believe there is no other method to teach art. The <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">community which has a common interest -even if the participants are changing- its a constant <\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"background: white;\">value by connecting people, this is one of the course\u2019s outstanding qualities.\u2019<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; text-indent: .2pt; margin: 14.35pt 7.75pt 0cm .3pt;\"><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">The workshop\u2019s mindset is still the same which was given by the ancestors.
