Fine and Applied Arts Group Exhibition

Reflections l Fine and Applied Arts Group Exhibition and Fundraising Fair at the Constable’s Residence Gödöllő l 7th May – 31st July 2022

We believe that art is a value that is able to lift us in our everyday life. Keeping contemporary art alive is our mission.

The Gödöllő Applied Arts House as a collective of artists sees itself as heirs of the spirit and philosophy of the former Gödöllő Art Colony.

The Gödöllő Applied Arts House (GIM-House) was founded in 1998, gathering professional artists of national and international renown in and around Gödöllő. The aim of the House is to revive the spirit and artistic heritage of the turn-of-the-century Gödöllő Art Colony of Europewide reputation, founded at the turn of the nineteenth century, introducing it to contemporary art, culture, education and international relations.

56 ARTISTS I 150 ARTWORKS

The exhibition and fundraising fair showcasing 150 pieces of artwork created by 56 professional artists is accommodated in the recently renovated Constable’s Residence, a listed monument, facing the Royal Palace of Gödöllő. The scope of the exhibition encompasses several generations of artists: besides renown creators from the first twenty years of existence of the GIM House, special attention is given to the young artist generation as well. This concept aims to link past, present, and future.

FUNDRAISING FAIR

56 artists have contributed to the Fundraising Fair by offering their works of art for the cause. The Fair aims to raise funds for the renovation of the GIM House and Exhibition Hall in order to be able to provide appropriate conditions for the implementation of our complex artistic programme – artistic creation, talent management, and art education. The co-operation of invited artists is of paramount importance to reach this aim, as well as the contribution and support of the public visiting the exhibition. Donations other than the purchase of artworks are also gratefully accepted.

Thank you for supporting the renovation of the GIM House and the continuation of our quality operations!
